Fans believe Luke Littler should be representing England following his heroic Premier League Darts final win against Luke Humphries.
However, PDC rules see The Nuke miss out on the opportunity for him to play at the competition, with Humphries joined by Michael Smith - with the pair impressing to reach the final.
Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton fired Wales to victory in the 2023 edition, but The Iceman will also be missing because of health issues - Wales also crashed out in the last 16.
