Rain steadily increases tonight, and will become heavy at times by tomorrow morning. This is associated with a warm front lifting through the region. Localized amounts of 2 to 4 inches of rain (or more) are possible in just a few hours, leading to flooding concerns — especially near the Canadian border. Severe weather is possible Sunday afternoon as high humidity surges north. Some of the storms may have rotation and produce a quick tornado. Even without a tornado, damaging straight-line wind gusts to 60 mph are expected for parts of the region. Here is a map of the tornado risk across the region.Not everyone will see a tornado, but the ingredients are there for a spin-up — especially in the red shaded area.
